Additional Information: The Christermon Foundation is a non-profit organization of the Beverage Alcohol Industry. It was established in 1987 to support worthy charities and develop a scholarship program. Once eligibility is established, the student community service essay, submitted as part of the application process, is edited for impartiality. All reference to the student's name, hometown, school and family affiliation is removed. The essay is copied and submitted for evaluation and rating by a panel consisting of college educators, foundation board members, the scholarship board, and selected members of the beverage industry. Results of the above are mathematically tabulated to arrive at an overall standing for each candidate. Final selection of scholarship recipients, along with individual monetary awards, are based upon results of the overall standings in descending order. Recipients will be notified by mail beginning June of the application year. All scholarship winners will be listed on the Christermom Foundation website beginning July of the application year.
