Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually. One award will be given to a male; the other will be given to a female.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of New Mexico for one year or more.
  3. Must attend Eldorado High School in Albuquerque.
  4. Must be a member of the Eldorado High School varsity soccer team.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  6. Must plan to enroll full time at an accredited postsecondary, not-for-profit educational institution.
  7. Must be a graduating high school senior at time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. graduating high school seniors who have been residents of New Mexico for one year or more and attend Eldorado High School in Albuquerque. Students must be a member of the Eldorado High School varsity soccer team.

Additional Information: Bryan Cline played fullback on the Eldorado High School soccer team. After his death in 1986, friends and family established this fund to recognize graduating senior varsity soccer players. Recipients must exhibit a strong scholastic record and leadership qualities.

Award Amount: $800 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $800.

Applications are available on the Albuquerque Community Foundation website. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must also submit a high school transcript, a copy of SAT or ACT scores, two references (one from a teacher or counselor and one from a soccer coach), a personal essay addressing the questions listed on the application, the name of his/her soccer coach, and a resume. All application materials must adhere to the guidelines listed on the application. Applications must be sent in a sealed envelope, returned to the Eldorado High School Counselor's Office, and received or postmarked by the deadline.
