Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be in his/her junior year.
  3. Must be enrolled full time.
  4. Must be an accounting major.
  5. Must be enrolled at an independent Kansas college or university.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to college juniors who attend a Kansas independent college or university and are majoring in accounting. Qualified students must demonstrate academic success in their accounting curriculum; the student's grades in English, rhetoric subjects, business, and economics courses will also be considered.

Additional Information: Qualified scholarship nominees must demonstrate academic success in their accounting curriculum. Additional emphasis is placed on the nominee's grades in English and rhetoric subjects, as well as courses in business and economics. Important qualifications also include the nominee's involvement in extracurricular activities, willingness to comply with standards of professional responsibility, and overall moral character. The Board of Trustees of the Educational Foundation selects the scholarship recipient.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date. Please check back in December for a refreshed application deadline date.Applications are available on the Educational Foundation of the Kansas Society of CPAs (KSCPA) website.All applicants must be nominated for this scholarship by an appropriate staff or faculty member. The nomination form is included with the application. Each eligible college/university is limited to one nominee for this award per academic year.In addition to a completed application, each student must submit the following materials: his/her official transcript; a resume; three sealed letters of recommendation (no more than one page in length); and a wallet-size senior portrait.All application materials must be mailed to the address provided by the deadline date.
