Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be enrolled in a Kentucky-based college or university.
  4. Must be of sophomore standing or higher at time of application.
  5. Must have an overall grade point average of 2.75 or higher and an accounting grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  6. Must have completed Principles of Accounting and must have completed or be enrolled in Intermediate Accounting. The student must also indicate plans to sit for the CPA exam (applicants who have completed all or parts of the exam are also eligible).

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. college students who are of at least sophomore status or higher and plan to sit for the CPA exam. Students must attend a Kentucky college or university and have an overall grade point average of 2.75 or higher and an accounting grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the KyCPA Educational Foundation Scholarship Program are:

Additional Information: The scholarships recognize scholastic achievement and leadership qualities in students who plan to become CPAs. Scholarship awards are based on acceptable academic performance and financial need. Applicants must intend to stay and work/live in Kentucky upon graduation. If selected, the recipient needs to agree to submit an application for student membership for the KyCPA before the scholarship is awarded. Recipients of scholarships will be notified by March 31. Scholarships will be presented at the Kentucky Society of CPAs Spring Awards Banquet in Louisville scheduled for April.

Award Amount: $1,000 to $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
