Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must major in agriculture, veterinary medicine or another field of study related to agriculture.
  3. Must be a resident of Baker, Bradford, Clay, Duval, Nassau, or St. John's counties.
  4. Must be a full-time student.
  5. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Association annually offers scholarships to students majoring or planning to major in agriculture, veterinary medicine, or other fields of study. The purpose of the scholarships is to encourage personal growth and knowledge. An applicant must be at least a high school senior at the time of application and a resident of one of the following Florida counties: Duval, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Nassau, or St. Johns County. The applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a four year university, junior college, or technical institution.

Application requirements for the Jacksonville Fair Agricultural Scholarship are:

Additional Information: The purpose of the scholarships is to encourage personal growth and knowledge while enhancing the development of fields related to agriculture. The funds will be assigned to and administered by the applicant's college or university. Should the chosen applicant drop out of school, any unused portion of the scholarship will be returned to the fair. All applications will be reviewed by a scholarship screening committee. The board of directors will then choose the recipients.

Award Amount: Two awards for $2,500 annually, non-renewable. Three awards for $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,600.

Applications are available online from the Greater Jacksonville Fair Association website. In addition to the completed application, each student must submit three letters of recommendation and an essay of no more than 500 words briefly discussing his/her background, goals, career objectives, and leadership activities he/she has had in his/her community, church or organizations. Applications may be submitted online, by mail, email, or fax. Letters of recommendation must be original and hand-delivered or mailed to the address provided. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
