In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be accepted for enrollment or enrolled at an accredited college, university, or technical school as an undergraduate student.
  4. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must be pursuing a degree in the arts and sciences, human services, music, or ministry.
  6. Must demonstrate a commitment to community service through school, community, or religious organizations.
  7. Preference will be given to applicants from Missouri, Mississippi, Georgia, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, and Tennessee.

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate students who are majoring in the arts/sciences, human services, music, or ministry. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to applicants from Missouri, Mississippi, Georgia, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, and Tennessee.

Additional Information: Students must demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this scholarship. Adults returning to school in order to increase employability are eligible. Scholarships are awarded on a nondiscriminatory basis after careful review of eligible applications. Award recommendations are approved by The Community Foundation's Board of Directors, and scholarship awards are paid directly to the educational institutions where the successful candidates are enrolled.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually for up to four years. Renewal students must continue to meet eligibility criteria and submit the current year's renewal form to receive funding.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $8,000.
