Number of Awards & Eligibility: Approximately five awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must be of Hispanic heritage.
  4. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.
  5. Must be majoring in engineering, mathematics, or technology.

Description: This award is available for Hispanic students who are attending a college in Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and must be majoring in engineering, mathematics, or computer technology.

Additional Information: The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities provides this scholarship to assist with the higher educational expenses of highly qualified students who demonstrate unmet financial need.

Award Amount: $2,150 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,150.

Applications are available online from the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) website at the address provided. In order to access the application, the student must create a login using his/her email address and chosen password. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit his/her current resume, transcript, a one-page essay discussing the topic listed, a financial aid release form, and contact information for two recommenders. All documents must be scanned and uploaded to the online application, with the exception of official transcripts and the financial aid release form. Transcripts must be sent directly to HACU, and finacial aid release forms must be filed with the student's educational institutions with plenty of time for follow-up documentation to be forwarded to HACU. Applications and all supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
