Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Preference will be given to graduating high school seniors.
  3. Must possess an active technician class or higher amateur radio license.
  4. Must reside in Mississippi or the ARRL Central Division area (AR, LA, TN).
  5. Must attend a college, university, or technical school in Mississippi.
  6. Must study electronics, communications, computer science, engineering, or related fields.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. and international students who are licensed radio amateurs (technician class or higher) and reside in Mississippi or the ARRL Delta Division (AR, LA, TN). Students must attend a postsecondary institution in Mississippi. Preference will be given to graduating high school seniors.

Additional Information: The Magnolia DX Association Scholarship is available students amateur radio enthusiasts in Mississippi or elsewhere in the ARLL Delta Division boundary. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in electronics, communications, computer science, engineering, or related fields. Recipients are typically notified in mid-May by USPS mail and email.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Applications are available on the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Foundation website. Applications must be completed online. Students need only submit one application for all scholarships for which they are eligible. The student must provide contact information for one educational reference, one character reference, and one social reference on the online application. The student must also submit a copy of his/her academic transcript from his/her most recently completed school year to the email address provided. The transcript must be scanned and submitted as a PDF.
