Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. *Please note: The number of recipients for this program varies according to the number of students meeting the eligibility requirements in any given year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international students.
  2. Must plan to attend Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
  3. Must be a full-time student.
  4. Must have a strong record of involvement or leadership in school or community service activities.
  5. Must be a high school senior or first-time undergraduate student at the time of application.
  6. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 or equivalent.
  7. Must have a minimum ACT score of 17 or a combined math and verbal SAT score of 1240 or higher.
  8. Must attend a college or university in Pennsylvania.

Description: This award is for international students applying to Point Park University in Pennsylvania. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher, and an ACT score of 17 or higher, or an SAT score of 1240 or higher.

Additional Information: Point Park University is located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The university is a small, private, accredited, liberal arts university with an emphasis on career-based education. Point Park University provides its students with excellent opportunities for hands-on, real-world experiences. International students planning attending the university are encouraged to contact the International Student Services office for additional information.

Award Amount: $12,000 to $14,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $52,000.

Students may view information about this award by going to the Point Park University (PPU) website, following the financial aid link, and then clicking the full-time students link. The student must apply for admission to PPU to be considered for this award. An additional scholarship application is not required. In addition to the completed online application form, the following materials must be submitted: a completed, signed, and notarized 'Financial Affidavit' form; any certified transcripts of high school graduation and/or secondary school grade reports (must be in English); an official bank statement verifying the student's financial information (in U.S. dollars); an 'International Student Agreement' form; a 'Student Health Record' form; SAT/ACT scores; and official TOEFL scores. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but applications accepted after the priority deadline will only be considered for financial aid for as long as funding remains available.
