Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  3. Must seek a certificate or associate's (two-year) degree in a technical field.
  4. Must be a resident of Vermont.
  5. Must be an incoming or current college student. The student cannot to expect to receive either an associate's (two-year) or bachelor's (four-year) degree prior to Aug. 31, 2016.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for Vermont students who are planning to attend a two-year vocational/technical postsecondary school. Students must demonstrate financial need and potential for academic success.

Additional Information: The Nordic Educational Trust Scholarship was created to provide scholarships to students who want to attend a two-year vocational/technical school. This scholarship is not based on past academic performance. Applicants must demonstrate potential for academic success and financial need. Selection is based on application documents, financial need, and a personal interview. There are approximately 90 applicants for this award each year.

Award Amount: Up to $10,000 over two years. That's $5,000 per year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $25,000.
