Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a female.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must be a full-time student.
  5. Must major in any field of engineering or computer science.
  6. Must be a college sophomore, junior, or senior at time of application. The student must be in a position to accept the scholarship for the school year in which it is being awarded.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for women who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering or computer science program. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and plan to enroll full time.

Additional Information: Applicants must not be receiving full funding for education (tuition, fees, and books or equivalent) from their school or another organization (e.g., members of the Armed Services attending U.S. military academies, students receiving full reimbursement from an employer). Applications must be completed online at the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) website. The applicant should submit only one application; she will be considered for all scholarships for which she is eligible. In addition to completing the online application, the student must upload the following documents: current official transcripts from all schools attended; a letter of acceptance to an ABET-accredited college or university (if a transfer student or first-year graduate student); and a resume. The student must also submit email contact information for two letters of recommendation. One letter must be from a teacher or college professor in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) field who is familiar with the student's work. The other letter must be from a person who has known the student for two or more years and who is not a relative or member of the student's family. Recommenders will be sent information regarding submission of their letters; the letters are due approximately one week after the student's application deadline. The online application and all required supporting materials must be submitted by 5 p.m. CT on the deadline date.
