Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must submit an art portfolio.
  2. Must be a high school senior, college freshman, or college sophomore at the time of submission.
  3. Must be majoring in visual arts.
  4. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  5. Must attend a college or university in the U.S. or Canada.

Description: This award is available for high school seniors, college freshman, and college sophomores who submit an art portfolio and artist statement.

Application requirements for the Krylon Clear Choice Art Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Selection for this art contest will be primarily determined by the student's portfolio and artist statement. Recipients will be notified by July 31.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable. Receipients will also receive approximately $750 worth of Krylon products.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Information and applications for the Krylon Clear Choice Scholarship are available on the provider website at the address provided.To apply, students must submit a portfolio with 3 to 6 images of artwork on CD, as well as a thumbnail or full-sized printout of images. Portfolios will be accepted on CD only, as originals and other data formats will not be accepted. All artwork must be labeled with the artist’s name, title of artwork, media, dimensions, and year completed either in the image file name or in a separate Word document on the CD. Portfolio artwork may include drawings, paintings, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture, and other studio artwork (excluding graphic design, digital artwork, photography, film, interior design, etc.). No graffiti submissions will be accepted. In addition to the completed application and a copy of the student's portfolio, the following items must also be included: official copies of high school and/or college transcripts for all coursework completed; a letter of recommendation from a current or past instructor; and an artist statement as described on the application form.All documents and applications must be submitted in one package (with the exception of official transcripts, which may be mailed directly from the school) and must be received at the address provided by the deadline date.
