Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be an undergraduate student. Graduate and post-doctorate students are not eligible.
  3. Must be currently enrolled full time at an accredited college or university. Students enrolled at two-year and junior colleges are eligible.
  4. Must be pursuing a science or engineering discipline related to the study of corrosion or corrosion control.

Description: This scholarship is open to students who are enrolled full time in an undergraduate program engaged in science or engineering related to the study of corrosion or corrosion control at an accredited college or university.

Additional Information: The NACE Past Presidents Scholarship is funded primarily through personal contributions made by members of the NACE Past Presidents Council. The NACE Foundation will award two (2) scholarships in the amount of $2,500 each on behalf of the NACE Past Presidents to undergraduate students interested in the study of corrosion or corrosion control.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable. Previous applicants and recipients are eligible to reapply each year in open competition with new applicants. All scholarship monies are paid directly to the recipient’s college or university and are to be used for educational expenses only. Expenses include, but not limited to: tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses at the educational institution.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications must be submitted by the deadline date. Application materials submitted after the deadline will not be considered. The NACE Foundation reserves the right to extend any and all scholarship deadlines at their discretion.
