Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).
  4. Must be a graduate student.
  5. Must be employed in an engineering field.
  6. Must be pursuing an MBA, a master's degree in engineering or a master's degree in public administration.

Description: This award is for U.S. graduate students who are pursuing a master's degree in engineering.

Application requirements for the Professional Engineers in Government (PEG) Management Study Fellowship are:

  • Recommendation letter (2)
  • Official Transcript
  • Essay
Additional Information: The recipient will be selected based on the following criteria: undergraduate GPA, professional and community activities, NSPE/PEG membership, government employment and the essay.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

Applications are available online at the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit two letters of recommendation (one shall be from a recent employer attesting to the applicant's professional competence and one shall attest to the applicant's community activities and character), an official transcript and an essay (one to two pages in length) explaining why they are pursuing a master's degree. Applicants may submit materials by email to peg@nspe.org, but must also mail the signed, original application and supporting documents to be received by the deadline date.
