Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually, one for a civil engineering major and one for a building construction management major.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must meet admission requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must major in civil engineering or building construction management.
  6. Must be a college junior or senior at time of award.
  7. Must plan to enroll full time (12 or more credit hours) each semester and earn a minimum of 24 credit hours by the end of the spring term; or enroll part time (6-11 credit hours) if a second-semester senior requiring fewer than 12 credit hours to graduate.

Additional Information: UNF's School of Engineering and Department of Construction Management are proud to offer this scholarship sponsored by the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE). The mission of ASHE is to provide a forum for members and partners of the highway industry to promote a safe, efficient, and sustainable highway system through education, innovation, and fellowship. This scholarship was established to support students pursuing a career in the highway industry. Preference will be given to students who are active members of the UNF ASHE chapter. Scholarship recipients must: maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; remain in good standing as a student; comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus; and consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the donor.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, renewable.The amount of the award will be determined by the fund manager, but it cannot exceed the maximum cost of tuition, books, campus housing, meal plan, transportation and miscellaneous expenses, as reflected in the annual "Cost of Education" budget prepared by the UNF Financial Aid Office.Current recipients may apply for renewal and will be given preference pending availability of funding and if the applicant continues to meet all selection criteria and responsibilities. No student will be eligible to receive more than eight semesters of scholarship support.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
