Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Preference will be given to students pursuing baccalaureate or higher degrees.
  3. Must possess an active technician class or higher amateur radio license.
  4. Must major in international studies.
  5. Preference will be given to members of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL).

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Don Riebhoff Memorial Scholarship is open to international and U.S. students who are licensed radio amateurs (technician class or higher) and pursuing international studies. Preference will be given to members of the ARRL and students pursuing baccalaureate or higher degrees.

Additional Information: This award is provided in memory of Don Riebhoff and will be awarded to a student who has an active amateur radio license of technician class or higher. Students must demonstrate academic merit, financial need, and an interest in promoting amateur radio. Additional preference and consideration will be given to applicants who are members of ARRL. Recipients are typically notified by mid-May by USPS mail and email.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available on the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Foundation website. Applications must be completed online. Students need only submit one application for all scholarships for which they are eligible. The student must provide contact information for one educational reference, one character reference, and one social reference on the online application. The student must also submit a copy of his/her academic transcript from his/her most recently completed school year to the email address provided. The transcript must be scanned and submitted as a PDF.
