In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be female.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must be enrolled at the graduate degree level.
  5. Must be pursuing a degree and career in health administration, policy, or public administration in a related field.
  6. Must attend a college or university in California.

Additional Information: The Erin Aaberg Givans Memorial Scholarship is provided to women in the Sacramento area who are majoring in public administration, healthcare administration and/or policy, or a related field. Applicants must be enrolling at the graduate degree level and must attend a college or university in California. Award selection will be based on a combination of academic merit and other factors, as determined by the individuals or organizations who are sponsoring the award. The Sacramento Region Community Foundation manages and administers dozens of scholarship programs that are available to local area students. Funds are financially supported by individuals, families, businesses, and other charitable organizations within Sacramento. Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications and additional information about this award may be found online at the Sacramento Community Foundation website. To apply for this award, students must first register an account and then complete the online scholarship application form. Once the account is created, students will be notified of precisely which awards they are eligible for. As a part of the online application, students must also submit short answer responses to one or more questions as outlined on the scholarship information and application page. All applications must be submitted online and must be received in full no later than the deadline date. Incomplete and late submissions will not be considered.
