Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.
  3. Must possess an active technical class or higher amateur radio license. The student must be able to provide at least one QLSL card receieved within the past 12 months.
  4. Must reside in the ARRL Delta Division area (Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee).
  5. Must be studying electronics, computers, or journalism.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to international and U.S. licensed radio amateurs (technical class or higher) who can provide at least one QLSL card received within the past 12 months. Students must reside in the ARRL Delta Division (AR, LA, MS, TN) and study electronics, computers, or journalism.

Additional Information: The Jake McClain Driver KC5WXA Scholarship is available for amateur radio license holders who reside in Tennessee or the ARRL Delta Division (Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee). Applicants must be pursuing a course of study in electronics, computer science, or journalism. Recipients are typically notified by mid-May by USPS mail and email.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
