Number of Awards & Eligibility: Three available awards.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be an U.S. citizen
  2. Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  3. Should also have an interest in community or volunteer service

Description: Our team at Burress Injury Law is passionate about helping the “underdogs.” We represent victims who have suffered serious injuries or lost loved ones due to the negligence of others. Specifically, we help our clients persevere in the face of adversity to receive the medical treatment they need and recover all of the compensation they are owed under the law for their losses and damages. With our Underdog Scholarships, we aim to support prospective applicants who have persevered in the face of adversity and who want to use their life experiences to help others. The Burress Injury Law Underdog Scholarship fund provides $20,000 annually, with one $5,000 award and two $2,500 awards offered for each of the Spring and Fall semesters. Our scholarships are open to applications from undergraduate students throughout the United States, and the awards can be applied to tuition and other educational expenses at each recipient’s school. We are currently accepting applications for our 3 scholarships for the fall semester.

Application requirements for the Burress Injury Law Underdog Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Professional headshot
Additional Information:

Award Amount: One chosen applicant will receive $5,000 and two other chosen applicants will receive $2,500 each.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.
