  2. Must be a second semester junior, senior, or graduate student at the time of application.
  3. Must be majoring in ornithology, wildlife habitats and eco-systems, or a related field.

Additional Information: The Francis M. Peacock Scholarship for Native Bird Habitat provides financial aid to a college senior or graduate student to study areas in the United States that provide winter or summer habitat for threatened or endangered native birds. The award is given by the Garden Club of America and is administered by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

Award Amount: $4,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,500.

Application information is available on the Cornell Ornithology Labs website. Interested applicants must review the proposal guidelines listed online and submit a short (five page maximum) proposal that includes: a title, one paragraph summary, concise statement of objectives, justification, background, methodology, schedule of time need to complete the project, budget, institutional affiliation, and his/her qualifications. Applicants must also fill out and submit the personal information form available online. All application materials must mailed to the address provided and received by the deadline date.
