Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a native-born or naturalized U.S. citizen.
  3. Must have reached his/her 19th birthday, but not his/her 26th birthday, by the application deadline date.
  4. Must play the flute.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is open to U.S. students who are 19 to 25 years of age. Students must record themselves performing the required flute repertoire to enter.

Application requirements for the NFMC Ernest A. Bluhm Flute Award are:

  • Application form
  • CD performance
  • Membership in NFMC (if applicable)
Additional Information: This award is funded by the Ernest A. Bluhm Endowment.

Award Amount: $800 annually, non-renewable. Please note: In the event of financial shortfalls, advertised award amounts may be adjusted. Applicants would be notified of the award change.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $800.
