Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.
  4. Must be majoring in physical, occupational, or speech therapy.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Description: The HIE Help Center will award one annual scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to an undergraduate or graduate student who plans to pursue a career in physical, occupational, or speech therapy. . Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

  • Official Transcript
  • A creative project

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and information about this award can be found online at the HIE Help Center website using the link provided. To be considered for an award, students must submit the following: a completed application form; official records of all academic work completed; and a creative submission that describes the applicant's experience with birth injuries. Creative submissions may be in essay, video, or picture format and may describe a personal or professional experience. All submissions should be emailed to community@hiehelpcenter.org. Documents that cannot be submitted digitally (such as certified transcripts) may be mailed to the listed postal address. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted no later than the deadline date.
