Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must be a resident of one of the following states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana or Alaska.
  4. Must identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or as a straight ally dedicated to LGBT causes.
  5. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.
  6. Must be majoring in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics).

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for current graduate and undergraduate students who are majoring in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics). Applicants must identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or as a straight-ally with a demonstrated commitment to LGBT equality, and must reside in one of the following states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana or Alaska.

Additional Information: All scholarships emphasize demonstrated commitment to human and civil rights for all people.

Award Amount: Award amounts range from between $500 and $12,000 annually, and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $12,000.
