Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of Louisiana for one year or more prior to July 1 of the scholarship award year.
  3. Must enroll full time.
  4. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher if an undergraduate student OR a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on all credits earned if a graduate student.
  5. Must attend a Louisiana public college or university.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen.
  7. Must major in forestry, wildlife, or marine science.
  8. Must be a college junior or senior or a graduate student. Undergraduate students must have earned at least 60 hours of college credit.

Description: The Rockefeller State Wildlife Scholarship is a competitive scholarship that awards $2,000 annually for an undergraduate student and $3,000 annually to a graduate student pursuing a degree in forestry, wildlife or marine science at a Louisiana Public College or University. The cumulative maximum award is $12,000 for up to three years of undergraduate study and two years of graduate study.

Additional Information: The Rockefeller State Wildlife Scholarship is a competitive scholarship that awards undergraduate students and graduate students pursuing a degree in forestry, wildlife or marine science at a Louisiana Public College or University.

Award Amount: Up to $2,000 annually for an undergraduate student and up to $3,000 annually to a graduate student. The cumulative maximum award is $12,000 for up to three years of undergraduate study and two years of graduate study.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $12,000.

Applications must be submitted no later than July 1 immediately before the academic year you wish to be considered. If your application is not received by the July 1 deadline, but is received by December 1, you may be eligible for the next spring semester, if funds are available.
