Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship is awarded each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be planning to major in social work, psychology, sociology, special education, criminal justice, or counseling.
  2. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must reside in and attend school in Holliday, TX.

Description: The Brea Little Moore Memorial Scholarship is available for graduating seniors at Holliday High School in Holliday Texas. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and must be planning to major in social work, psychology, sociology, special education, criminal justice, or counseling.

Additional Information: The Brea Little Moore Memorial Scholarship is provided annually in memory of Brea Little Moore, a Holliday Texas resident who was diagnosed with cancer shortly after graduating from colllege. Despite her declining health, Brea was able to contribute back to the community as a special education aide for middle school and high school students in the Holliday, Texas Independent School District. The scholarship is administered annually through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation, and seeks to reward local area high school students who show a combination of academic achievement and unmet financial need. To be eligible for this program, applicants must be current high school seniors in Holliday, Texas and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Applicants may plan to attend any accredited college or university in the United States and must be planning to major in social work, psychology, sociology, special education, criminal justice, or counseling.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
