Additional Information: The Mensa Foundation Scholarship Program awards more than $140,000 in assistance every year to college-bound students around the globe. Scholarships are awarded based solely on 550-word essays expressing applicants’ academic and professional goals and how their personal experiences will help them to accomplish those goals. International Scholarships The Foundation’s scholarship program bases its awards totally on essays written by the applicants explaining his or her career, academic and/or vocational goals and how they plan to achieve those goals. The Ed Vincent international scholarship provides funds for international students enrolled at accredited colleges or universities in the United States. Eligibility is limited to Mensa members (except American Mensans) or their children/dependents. The Mensa international scholarships provide funds for international students enrolled at accredited colleges or universities in a country other than the United States. Eligibility is limited to Mensa members (except American Mensa). New Scholarship Opportunities • Four new $7,000 scholarships for women in STEM fields • $1,000 First Timer’s Grant, endowed by Mensa Life Member Lynda Harris, to support students who are the first in their families to earn more than 12 college credits • The new $600 CGM Health Careers Scholarship to support students studying medicine, pharmacy, veterinary science, nursing, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, or other allied health fields • A new $5,000 scholarship for exceptional students endowed by Life Member Ramona Roe of Little Rock, Ark.

Award Amount: Varies but students can win up to $7,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $70,000.
