Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship is awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must identify as a minority.
  2. Must major in a STEM Field.
  3. Must be a current or soon to be enrolled undergraduate student next year at a US-based university.

Description: For the Minorities in STEM scholarship, the applicant should include information about organizations they’ve been a part of and/or what they’re done in their community to support and promote minority leadership. The winner will be announced no later then May 1.

Application requirements for the Minorities in STEM are:

  • Application form
  • Personal statement
Additional Information: Avomeen is a contract research organization located in Ann Arbor, MI and we’re offering 2 scholarship opportunities annually to students pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline. A written statement (200 words or less) on why the applicant has chosen to pursue a degree in STEM. Applicants who identify as a minority, who are majoring in STEM fields, who are currently or will be an undergraduate student next year at a US-based university.

Award Amount: The winner will receive a $2,500 scholarship.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
