Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a current high school senior or undergraduate student at the time of application.
  3. Must be majoring in and planning to pursue a career in welding or a closely related field.
  4. Must be a resident of Santa Clara, California.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

Additional Information: This scholarship is sponsored annually by the Santa Clara Section in honor of Louis DeFreitas, a long-time member of the Section.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
