Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Moscow High School in Moscow, Idaho.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Description: The Irene Gustafson Scholarship Fund is available for graduating high school seniors in Moscow, Idaho. Applicants must be a member of at least one charitable organization and should have strong verbal or written skills in the English language.

Additional Information: The Irene Gustafson Scholarship Fund is provided annually to a local student who demonstrates exceptional language skills and a commitment to the community. Applicants should have strong writing and/or public speaking skills and membership with at least one organization that is actively involved in community service.

Award Amount: $600 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $600.

Applications are available on the Idaho Community Foundation website. Please note: The student may apply for all scholarships for which he/she is qualified; however, a separate application and supplemental materials must be submitted for each scholarship. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following materials: five one-page essays addressing the topics listed on the application; a copy of his/her most recent high school transcript, report card, or unofficial/uncertified college transcript; two letters of recommendation; and an additional short essay (one page or less) describing a challenge he/she has faced in his/her life and how he/she handled it. Applications must be emailed to the address provided by the deadline date.
