In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have autism spectrum disorder.
  2. Must be a high school or college student attending a post-secondary program in the 2020-2021 academic year.

Description: KFM Making A Difference is an organization focused on spreading disability awareness and giving scholarships for students with autism to pursue a post-secondary education. The organization hopes to “make a difference” in the lives of all of those with special needs. The winner will receive a $500 award.

Application requirements for the KFM Making A Difference for Autism Scholarship are:

Additional Information: All high school students with autism attending a post-secondary program in the 2020-2021 academic year may apply. In addition, all current college students with autism may apply as well who will be attending a post-secondary program in the 2020-2021 academic year. This scholarship has no geographic restrictions meaning it’s open to all upcoming and current college students with autism in the U.S and internationally! If you were selected in a previous year and/or weren’t selected, you may reapply as long as you are still attending college in the 2020-2021 academic year. Just make sure to send a new and original application and essay. The decision on the winners of the scholarship shall be in the sole discretion of KFM Making A Difference. The winning application will be based on, at least in part, upon the amount of online interest in your essay (amount of times it’s shared on social media via Facebook/Twitter/Etc. and the amount of pageviews it receives). To apply, you need to send a cover letter that includes some biographical information, your diagnosis and education details. You also need to submit a resume, letter of reference and essay plus three photos.

Award Amount: The winning applicant will receive a $500 scholarship to be used to pay for their post-secondary education.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.
