Number of Awards & Eligibility: Nine awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Clay County, Florida.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must be 19 years of age or younger.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  5. Must be a student in either a Clay County School (grades 4-12, public or private), a registered home-schooled student in Clay County
  6. Must be in grades 4-12.

Description: This award is available for U.S. students in grades 4-12 who are 19 years of age or younger. Students must be a resident of Clay County, Florida and be a student in a Clay County School (grades K-12, public or private).

Additional Information: Each year, the Concert On The Green hosts an affordable symphony concert for thousands of local residents in a beautiful outdoor setting. The concert is the most attended Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra performance outside of Symphony Hall. The annual Concert on the Green Poster Contest is an excellent opportunity for students and the winning student's arts program. All proceeds from the Concert On The Green benefit Clay County Schools' Music and Art programs. The applicant must not have won first place in this competition in the past.

Award Amount: One first-place award of $1,000, one second-place award of $500, and one honorable mention award of $250 awarded annually in the senior division. Junior and elementary divisions have first, second, and honorable mention awards as well. The Clay County school program responsible for producing the winning poster will receive a $1,000 program grant, in addition to citywide recognition via Concert on the Green press releases and news articles. All awards are non-renewable. The first-place winner's poster will be framed and exhibited in a prominent area of the Magnolia Point Golf and Country Club for one year. The poster will then be returned to the student.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $583.

Applications are available online on the Concert on the Green website. To enter, the student must submit a poster design that will reflect the concept of the Concert on the Green. The poster design must cover a 11" x 12" section of a 11" x 17" paper or canvas (saving 5" on the bottom) using any artistic medium. Winning artwork should reflect the importance of art and music in the community. An online application MUST be submitted with final entries delivered to the Great Hang Ups Gallery, 1560 Business Center Dr. Suite 13, Fleming Island, FL 32003. The online application and all materials must be submitted by 5 p.m. on the deadline date to be considered.
