Number of Awards & Eligibility: Approximately one award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a high school senior.
  3. Must be 16 years of age or older at time of application.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  5. Must enroll full time at an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the United States in the upcoming fall semester.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.3 or higher.
  7. Must be involved in community service and demonstrate leadership in extracurricular activities.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. high school seniors who are 16 years of age or older at time of application. Students are NOT required to be of Pan-Asian American heritage for this award. Students must: have a grade point average of 3.3 or higher; be involved in community service; and demonstrate financial need.

Additional Information: *Please note: Applicants for the Bruce Lee Scholarship are NOT required to be of Pan-Asian American heritage. All applicants must demonstrate financial need. Due to the high volume of applications, only selected applicants will be informed of the Scholarship Committee's decision by mid-April. Scholarship recipients are required to attend the CelebrAsian Procurement Conference. As part of the Scholarship Award Program, USPAACC will provide travel arrangements and hotel accommodations to all scholarship recipients.

Award Amount: $2,500 to $5,000 annually, non-renewable. Scholarship money will be paid directly to the recipient's college or university towards the cost of tuition. The scholarship must be used towards paying for courses on-campus; online courses will not qualify.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications are available on the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC) website. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must also submit the following materials: a 2" x 2" photo (stapled on the top right-hand corner); a 500-word essay on the topic 'Why should I be awarded this scholarship' signed by the applicant and his/her guidance counselor; high school transcripts capturing the past two years of coursework; a copy of most recent household tax return signed by taxpayer(s) (must include the applicant's name and social security number, a statement of the actual household income, and the taxpayer's signature); two letters of recommendation, one from high school and one from a community service organization (must be in sealed envelopes); and information on proposed postsecondary course of study (major) and associated costs (tuition/room/board) for one university for which the applicant is applying. Please note: Students may apply for up to five scholarships from the USPAACC for which they are qualified. However, the applicant is required to submit an application with the required documents in separate envelopes for each scholarship for which he/she applies. Multiple applications submitted in a single envelope will not be considered. The application and required documents must be submitted online by the deadline date.
