Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be enrolled in a certificate or degree-granting program (includes associate's degrees and professional certifications as well as traditional bachelor's degrees).
  3. Must have been incarcerated for a term of one or more years in a state or federal correctional institution.
  4. Must have been incarcerated in the United States.
  5. Must demonstrate leadership in his/her community through volunteer work.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available to persons who were incarcerated for one or more years in a state or federal correctional institution in the United States and are enrolled in a certificate or degree-granting program. Students must demonstrate leadership in their community through volunteer work.

  • Proof of prior incarceration
  • References (3)
  • Essay
Additional Information: The purpose of this scholarship is to continue the work of transformation and promoting leaders in the community.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.
