Number of Awards & Eligibility: Fifteen awards offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Vermont.
  4. Must be a high school senior who will earn a diploma or GED by the start of the upcoming school year.
  5. Must enroll in an undergraduate program on a half-time (six credits per term) or higher basis.
  6. Must reside or attend high school in Addison, Caledonia, Chittenden, Essex, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, Orange, Orleans, or Washington counties in Vermont.
  7. Must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement with a grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  8. Must demonstrate community involvement/service.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to high school seniors who reside or attend high school in selected northern Vermont counties and have overcome a significant challenge or hardship. Applications must have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher and demonstrate community involvement/service.

Additional Information: NorthCountry Federal Credit Union wishes to recognize northern Vermont students who are pursuing higher education, who reflect the credit union philosophy of people helping people, and who have demonstrated a commitment to learning and to giving back to the community. Applicants must attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding, and must have overcome a significant challenge or hardship. Selection is based on application documents and academic achievement.

Award Amount: Up to $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $30,000.
