Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must reside in Addison County, Vermont.
  3. Must plan to enroll full time in a four-year undergraduate degree program.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  5. Must be a high school senior who will earn a diploma or GED by the start of the upcoming school year.
  6. Must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and promise of continued excellence.
  7. Must demonstrate school/community involvement.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for high school seniors who reside in Addison County, Vermont. Students must plan to enroll full time in an accredited four-year college to pursue a bachelor's degree and demonstrate the following: outstanding academic achievement; financial need; school/community involvement.

Additional Information: Applicants must demonstrate financial need and attend a competitive, accredited postsecondary school approved for Title IV funding. Selection is based on academic achievement, financial need, and application documents.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, renewable for up to three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

Applications are available from the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) website. Applications may be completed either online or in paper form beginning on November 1. Please note: The student is only required to submit one application for all scholarships for which he/she wishes to apply. In addition, if a particular document is required for more than one scholarship, the student need only submit one copy of that document. To apply, the student must complete and submit the VSAC Unified Scholarship Application and submit the following materials: a letter of recommendation; an essay; and official transcripts. NOTE: Required additional materials MUST conform to the detailed instructions in the VSAC Scholarships Booklet. The student is highly encouraged to review the booklet thoroughly when assembling materials. Electronic applications and any digital versions of supplemental materials must be submitted by midnight on the deadline date. Paper applications or any supplemental materials in paper form must be postmarked by the deadline date.
