Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on funding. Last year, 23 awards were offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award.
  4. Must plan to enroll full time.
  5. Must have a parent who is currently incarcerated or has been paroled.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. high school seniors or older students who plan to attend a postsecondary institution/technical school full time are eligible for this award. Students must have a parent currently incarcerated or paroled.

Application requirements for the CCEF Undergraduate Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letters (3)
  • (SAR) FAFSA
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: Applications will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and based on the needs of each individual applicant. The student must demonstrate Federal Pell Grant eligibility. Online courses are not permitted.

Award Amount: $1,000 or $5,000 annually, non-renewable. The amount given is dependent on the student's individual need.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
