Number of Awards & Eligibility: Eight awards offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.
  3. Must have an ACT score of 25 or higher, or an SAT score (combined math & language) of 1200 or higher.
  4. Must plan to enroll full time.
  5. Must plan to live on campus.
  6. Must plan to attend Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC.
  7. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for undergraduate students who plan to enroll in Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina full time and live on campus. The student must have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher and either an SAT score (reading/math) of 1200 or higher or an ACT score of 25 or higher.

Application requirements for the Gardner-Webb University Ignite Excellence Competitive Scholarships are:

  • FAFSA
  • Official Transcript
  • Admission Application
Additional Information: Scholarships are awarded for a maximum of eight semesters. Scholarships do not cover costs for additional credits taken, summer school charges or other program costs such as GEM. *Outside sources of federal and state aid such as Pell, NC Need Based Scholarship, will reduce the value of the Presidential Fellows Scholarship.

Award Amount: Presidential Fellows receive the full value of tuition, room, and board ($31,220). All awards are renewable each year, provided the student maintains a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Ignite Excellence Participation Award– $2,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,903.
