In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  2. Must plan to attend Garnder-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  4. Must have an ACT score of 24 or higher, or an SAT score (combined math & language) of 1100 or higher.
  5. Must plan to enroll full time.

Description: This award is for undergraduate students who plan to enroll in Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina full time and live on campus. The student must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and either an SAT score (reading/math) of 1100 or higher or an ACT score of 24 or higher.

Additional Information: In order to determine the amount of institutional scholarship or grant a student are eligible to receive, he or she must first apply and be accepted to Gardner-Webb. The award amount will be included in your acceptance letter from the Undergraduate Admissions Office. Institutional scholarships require a student to be enrolled full time (12 hours or more) and maintain a grade point average in accordance with the institution's Scholarship Maintenance Policy.

Award Amount: $5,000 to $18,000 annually, renewable for up to an additional three years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $36,000.

Students must apply for admission to Gardner-Webb University (GWU) to be considered for this award. An additional scholarship application is not required. Students may download a printable admission application at gardner-webb.edu/Assets/gardnerwebb/admissions/ug/forms/ug-app-web-form.pdf or apply online. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit the following: a non-refundable $40 fee (waived for online applications); an official high school transcript; SAT and/or ACT scores; his/her class rank; and a recent photograph. The student must also file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the deadline date. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Although applications are accepted on a rolling basis, it is recommended that students submit all applications for admissions and financial aid prior to the posted priority date.
