Number of Awards & Eligibility: Three awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a female.
  3. Must be a full-time student.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  5. Must major in one of the following fields: aeronautical/aerospace engineering, automotive engineering, chemical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials science and engineering, and petroleum engineering.
  6. Must be an undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior. The student must be in a position to accept the scholarship for the school year in which it is being awarded.
  7. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  8. Must have a home address in OR go to college in one of the following states: AZ, CA, FL, IN, KS, MN, NM, PR, TX, WA.
  9. Must be a member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. undergraduate women majoring in select engineering fields. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and live in or go to college in the United States.

Application requirements for the Honeywell International Scholarship for Undergraduate Students are:

Additional Information: Preference will be given to students who have financial need and/or are in underrepresented groups. Applicants may not be current recipients of a renewable SWE scholarship or receiving full funding for education from another organization (such as members of the armed services attending US military academies and students receiving full reimbursement from an employer.) The applicant must enroll or plan to enroll in a computer science or engineering program accredited by ABET. Accreditation status for degree programs at specific schools can be found online at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $15,000.

Applications must be completed online at the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) website. The applicant should submit only one application; she will be considered for all scholarships for which she is eligible. In addition to completing the online application, the student must upload the following documents: current official transcripts from all schools attended; a letter of acceptance to an ABET-accredited college or university (if a transfer student or first-year graduate student); and a resume. The student must also submit email contact information for two letters of recommendation. One letter must be from a teacher or college professor in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) field who is familiar with the student's work. The other letter must be from a person who has known the student for two or more years and who is not a relative or member of the student's family. Recommenders will be sent information regarding submission of their letters; the letters are due approximately one week after the student's application deadline. The online application and all required supporting materials must be submitted by 5 p.m. CT on the deadline date.
