In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must attend Brandywine, Concord or Mt. Pleasant High School in Wilmington, DE.
  3. Must plan to major in art, mathematics, or science.
  4. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.

Description: The John A. & Louise V. Maslin Scholarship is provided to graduating seniors at Brandywine, Concord or Mt. Pleasant High School who are planning to major in art, science, or mathematics.

Additional Information: The John A. & Louise V. Maslin Scholarship is provided to students in the Brandywine School District of Wilmington Delaware. To be considered eligible for the award, applicants must be graduating high school seniors who plan to major in a field directly related to art, math, or science. The Delaware Community Foundation has provided scholarships and other forms of financial assistance to deserving Delaware students since 1986. Students are encouraged to apply for any and scholarships that they are eligible for, as there is no limit on the number of awards a single student may receive. Additional information about the award may be found online at the Foundation's website, as well as at school guidance offices within the state.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and additional information about this scholarship are available online at the Delaware Community Foundation website. To be considered for an award, eligible students must complete the online application form that includes the following: student contact information; academic information and history; financial need (if applicable); and one or more essay responses as are defined within the application. Students are not required to complete the application in one sitting - current changes can be saved for later completion, review, or attachment of additional items. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online no later than the deadline date.
