  2. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must be majoring in education or medicine.

Description: The Sam and Rosalee Scholarship Fund is available for graduating high school seniors in Bates County, MO. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and must be majoring in education or healthcare.

Additional Information: The Sam and Rosalee Scholarship Fund is provided annually to graduating high school students in Bates County, Missouri who are planning to major in medicine or education (or a related field). Award selection will be based on a combination of the following factors: academic merit, unmet financial need, and, if applicable, any community service involvement or other extracurricular activities the student has participated in. This award is managed and administered through the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, a local area charity founded in 1978 with the mission of providing assistance and centralized resources for decentralized charitable causes and giving. Award Amount: Up to $1,000 annually, non-renewable. Funds may be used for tuition, books, and other educational fees.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
