Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley

Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  2. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  3. Must be a member of, or the dependent of the member of, St. Stanislaus parish and/or the St. Stanislaus Knights of Columbus.
  4. Must reside in Pleasant Valley, NY.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for high school seniors in Pleasant Valley, NY who are active and contributing members of St. Stanislaus Parish or St. Stanislaus Knights of Columbus. Applicants must submit a transcript, essay of no more than 500 words and a recommendation letter with their applications.

Additional Information: Established by the St. Stanislaus Knights of Columbus, this award seeks to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior who will be attending an accredited technical school or pursuing a baccalaureate or associate's degree at an accredited two or four year college. Applicants must be a child or ward of a contributing member of St. Stanislaus Parish or an active and contributing member of St. Stanislaus Knights of Columbus for at least two years.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Applications are available online from the Community Foundation of the Hudson Valley website at the address provided. In addition to the completed application, each applicant must submit one letter of recommendation; a copy of his/her most recent transcripts; a list of work history; a listing of church and community activities; and an essay of approximately 500 words responding to the prompt listed on the application. Applications and all supporting documents must be sent via postal mail to the provided address, and must be postmarked by the deadline date.
