Number of Awards & Eligibility: Varies, all eligible students will be considered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Must be admitted to and enroll in an eligible postsecondary institution no later than 16 months after graduating from high school.
  3. Must be a resident of Tennessee for at least one year prior to the application deadline date.
  4. Must have a composite ACT score of 18-20 or an SAT score of 860-970.
  5. Must plan on enrolling in no less than six credit hours per semester.
  6. Must enroll in an associate or baccalaureate degree at an eligible postsecondary institution in Tennessee.
  7. This award is for U.S. students.
  8. Must have a family adjusted gross income of $36,000 or less as reported on the IRS tax form.
  9. Must have a final cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to Tennessee high school seniors who are planning to attend an eligible postsecondary institution in Tennessee. The student must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher and a SAT score or 860-970 or an ACT score of 18-20. The student's parents' (or independent student's and spouse's) adjusted gross income must be $36,000 or less.

Additional Information: The Tennessee HOPE Access Grant is a state program, administered through the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation, established to provide need-based aid to Tennessee residents who are enrolled in one of the Tennessee public colleges, universities, or private colleges. The award is based on the financial need and merit.

Award Amount: Up to $1,375 per semester at an eligible four-year postsecondary institution or an eligible two-year postsecondary institution that offers on-campus housing. Up to $688 per semester at an eligible two-year postsecondary institution. Awards to part-time students are prorated.Award is non-renewable after 24 attempted hours, however eligible recipients may continue to receive the HOPE scholarship. Students should contact his/her insitution's financial aid office for additional details about the HOPE scholarship eligibility.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,431.

Additional information about this award is available from the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) College Pays website. To apply, students must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. The FAFSA must be received by the Federal Processor for state scholarship/grant consideration must be received by September 1st for fall semester, February 1st for spring and summer semesters. Early application is recommended.
