Number of Awards & Eligibility: Each year over 3,000 students receive a Berkeley Undergraduate Scholarship
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. California residents and AB540 eligible students entering from high school with a 4.1 grade point average (GPA) or better
  2. California residents and AB 540 eligible students entering from a community college entering students with a 3.5 GPA or better

Description: Each year over 3,000 students receive a Berkeley Undergraduate Scholarship, funded from one or more of our nearly 900 university and private philanthropy funds. There is no application process other than applying for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application. New and continuing students who meet the criteria set by the Academic Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Honors and Financial Aid are awarded on the basis of both academic merit and financial need.
