Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually based on the number of eligible students and available funding.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be an incoming transfer student. Please note: Current UNF students are not eligible.
  4. Must plan to transfer to the University of North Florida in the fall term. This award is not available for students who are beginning in the spring term.
  5. Must earn an Associate in Arts degree from a Florida two-year college.
  6. Must have a transfer grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. students who plan to transfer to the University of North Florida after earning an A.A. degree from a Florida two-year college. Students must have a transfer grade point average of 3.5 or higher and demonstrate financial need.

Additional Information: Students must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA. Scholarship application decisions will be released no later than mid-July and scholarships are awarded beginning in the fall term of each year.

Award Amount: $3,000 over 2 years  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.

Application information is available online on the University of North Florida (UNF) website. Applicants for this award must complete a scholarship application through the UNF myWings student portal. Access to myWings is available after submission of an admissions application; normally, students can access myWings within one business day of submitting an admissions application, but it can take up to three business days. A step-by-step tutorial for accessing and completing the scholarship application is available on the UNF website. Students must also complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to be considered for this award. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. The priority deadline for submission of the scholarship application and the FAFSA is March 1.
