  4. Must be an undergraduate student at the time of application.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  6. Must attend the University of Maine.

Additional Information: The University of Maine's residency scholarships are intended to attract and retain top academic achievers from diverse areas of Maine and surrounding states who seek intellectual stimulation and opportunities for personal development. This award, in honor of Lisle W. Bridgham, is for students who reside in the town of Gouldsboro, Maine.

Award Amount: $500 to $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $750.

Detailed information about this scholarship is available online on the University of Maine (UMaine) website. Applications for University of Maine residency-based scholarships must be accompanied by a certification of town residency that includes a town clerk's official seal. Upon receipt of the residency certification and information release form, the University of Maine will provide additional documentation regarding financial need and academic records. To apply for this need-based scholarship, applicants must have a completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file with the university by March 1 of the application year. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and in college financial aid offices. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but for full consideration, should be submitted by the priority deadline.
