Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate's degree, or a first bachelor's degree.
  3. Must be a female.
  4. Must be 35 years of age or older as of March 1 of the year of application.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  6. Must demonstrate financial need. Families cannot make more than the amounts described within the application guidelines.

Students must be pursuing a technical/vocational education, an associate's degree, or a first bachelor's degree. The student's family must have an annual income that meets the described financial need guidelines.

Additional Information: Each year, Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to low-income women, ages 35 and older, who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents pursuing an undergraduate education or a trade skills certification at an accredited college or university in the United States. Scholarships are renewable for up to 5 years and distributed directly to the recipient.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable. This amount may change each year. The award is disbursed over two terms.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $8,000.
