Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship is awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a female or identify as a female.
  2. Must be majoring in accounting.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  4. Must submit proof of financial need.

Description: EFWA awards scholarships to women who are pursuing Accounting degrees at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels. This annual scholarship awarded in the amount of $1,000 for the purpose of earning a degree in Accounting. Preferred applicants are women returning to college from the work force or after raising children.

Application requirements for the Michele L. MacDonald Memorial Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Official Transcript
  • Application form
Additional Information: To be eligible, you must meet these criteria: • A female US citizen attending accredited US school pursuing an accounting degree. • Committed to the goal of pursuing a degree in Accounting in preparation for a career as an accounting or finance professional, including evidence of continued commitment to this goal after receiving the award. • Proven aptitude in accounting and business as evidenced by prior course work and/or work experience. • Clear evidence that goals and a plan for achieving those goals, both personal and professional, have been established. • Financial need Scholarship recipients will be selected by June 30.

Award Amount: An annual scholarship of $1,000 is offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
