Number of Awards & Eligibility: A limited number of scholarships are awarded each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a woman.
  2. Must be 30 years of age or older.
  3. Must be accepted to or enrolled in an accredited college or university at the time of application.

Description: The Deana Kendrick Foundation (TDKF) offers scholarships to women over thirty. Recipients are women who are returning to college, are currently in college seeking a degree, or are starting college after a lengthy break from school. This scholarship may be ideal for community colleges but may be used at a four-year university.

Application requirements for the The Deana Kendrick Foundation (TDFK) are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Personal statement
Additional Information: Recipients will be notified and published to the website in acknowledgement. Previous applicants are welcome to submit applications for consideration in future years.

Award Amount: Scholarships range from $250-$500 per semester (OTC) and $125 per quarter (Foothill) or summer semester. Awards are not automatically renewable, but previous recipients are eligible to apply again.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Applicants to submit a typed application, then applicants will be notified on the website. You must be admitted into a college or university at the time of your application. The application asks for your contact information, highest level of completed education and the name of the college you are applying to. You must also state the degree you are seeking at that college, even if it is “undecided”. You also list the semester you are applying for, 300-word essay, statement and two letters of recommendation. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis.
