Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually, one per application period.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must live in a household served by Tri-County EMC.
  3. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a U.S. accredited college, university, or technical school.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who live in households served by Tri-County EMC and have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher; financial need will be considered. Priority will be given to non-traditional students.

Application requirements for the Tri-County EMC Operation Roundup Scholarship are:

  • ACT/SAT scores
  • Financial info.
Additional Information: Priority will be given to non-traditional students. This may include individuals who are working full time or part time who have returned to school. Applications are judged based on academic success, financial need and community involvement. Applications are scored by an independent panel of judges. The scholarships will be awarded in June and December annually.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.Recipients cannot receive more than $2,000 in a two-year period.The funds may be used to pay tuition and purchase books. Students may be reimbursed for tuition and books with proper receipts or funds can be paid directly to the school.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications are available online on the Tri-County Electric Membership Corporation (Tri-County EMC) website. The student may complete the application online or download a paper application to submit by mail. Please note: The online application must be completed in a single session; work cannot be saved and returned to later. In addition to a completed application, each student must submit the following materials (may be uploaded to the online application): an official transcript; an essay of 500 to 750 words that is a typed autobiographical sketch referencing plans, community service involvement and achievements accomplished and/or awards received; enrollment verification from the college/univeristy he/she is attending or plans to attend; his/her most recent ACT and/or SAT score(s); two letters of recommendation; and financial information as requested on the application. Application deadline dates are April 15 and Oct. 15 annually.
